Trust the Timing

It’s been a minute since I’ve written. Life is chaotic sometimes. There’s lots of things on my mind right now, but I should probably focus on one at a time.

We all know me and my ‘everything happens for a reason’ and my ‘there are no coincidences’ logic. So what do you do when something amazing happens and then it’s taken away?

Have you ever met someone that can wake up your heart again and give you ALL of the feels just by sending a simple “Hello!” text?

These last five years of going on date after date and constantly trying to figure out the problem have been wretched. Although at times, I thought I’d found him - the one who gave me butterflies.

Then the universe threw me a curveball straight out of left field! I randomly got a Facebook message from a high school friend/crush. I wasn’t crazy shocked by this - we’d chatted a few years back. This time however, was completely and utterly different.

I found myself smiling every time his name popped up on my phone, and when I got a text from someone else, I was disappointed that it wasn’t him.

Everything was easier with him. I could tell him anything I was thinking without fear he would judge me in any type of way.

So what do you do when a person like this decides they have the same feelings towards you but there’s one thing you have that other women don’t - kids.

He never saw kids of any kind in his future. (And I’m not one to judge either. To each their own.) but I have no clue how to even process and navigate this. A relationship isn’t built on whether there’s kids involved or whether someone has a nice house, etc. Your forever person should give you all the feels. Life should feel easy with them. No trying to be someone you aren’t.

I’m having a very difficult time keeping myself away from, thinking of and talking to this man, without there being tears because I can honestly say, I’ve never felt a pull so fiercely toward another human being in my life.

He may read this or he may not. If he does, it still might not sway his decision. However, if I’ve learned anything from my mother these last few years, it’s this - always follow your heart. Chances are it’s Gods way of leading you where you’re meant to be. Trust in His timing.
